    James,
Just to make you aware that I have today asked for the cheque to be raised for your Challenge Everest 2008 expedition for the sum of £3,000. I hope all your training is going well and look forward to hearing how Tom and Yourself progress. Great charity to be doing this for as I lost my dad to cancer, so I am only to pleased to confirm the sponsorship from ESL.

All the best to you both.

It looks like the train to Snowdon does not run in December … oh dear!

  11. Martin says:

James, I’m delighted to confirm that LINPAC Allibert will sponsor your tremendous expedition to Everest, to the value of £5,000, a small part of which we might make up in “crates” for packing your equipment for travel out to the Himalayas. I’m particularly delighted from a personal point of view, to be able to support such an event that is raising money for Cancer Research and Cancer care.

I am having a hard time finding out how your climb is going. I have read all of Sir Fiennes’ books and am curious. What’s going on? Thanks, Shaun Rust, Canada
